Oof, this one is super complicated with the family drama. A lot isn’t how it appears and the reasoning behind some actions are just not apparent until much later in the novels.

Long winded dialogues but I like them. Really good plot setup and introduction of characters. Now the story starts to really dive in. I’m hooked.

Slowly but surely, the FL, although raised as a sheltered doll is NOT stupid. She knows when enough is enough and time to stand up against her overly ambitious mother.
I love female leads like these.
The ML still has a mysterious background though. It looks like he isn’t a marquis’s illegitimate son but rather an illegitimate son of the king otherwise why would the title be “royal marriage” if he isn’t royal? 😀
