Feels a bit too stuffy and angsty. I typically enjoy the aristocrat fantasy novels, so I gave it a try. If you’re enjoying the genres of perpetual abuse and Stockholm’s syndrome, then this should be fine for you. World building is lacking almost entirely still by chapter 16. The psyche is set up for most of the main characters though.

im sure a lot of people dont like this story that much and the 2nd ml is messed up and whatever he did can’t be forgiven but he did atone for his sins and i personally really like this story to the point i cried when she read the letter by the 2nd ml.
