   I know there’s a situation, and the emperor is the mastermind behind the tragedy between the main leads. But still, it doesn’t justify FL behavior. She is one of the most horrible FLs I have encountered. Extremely selfish and stubborn. She already has a fixed view on ML as a villain. ML character is too good for FL; he is a pushover and has no sense of love for himself. They aren’t a better match at all; I just wish we had an alternative ending where ML could be happy without FL. Im trying to continue to read but can’t get to it because FL, chapter by chapter, its frustrating how ignorant she is; her actions lead to extreme consequences; she has no remorse; she just feels a little bit guilty and willing on self-pity.

   All I can say is, it’s the emperor’s fault. They would have a happy marriage if the emperor didn’t lied and threaten the fl’s kingdom. If he’s just even a little bit honest, the ml wouldn’t kill himself.
   If he just pass on the letter to the ml, this wouldn’t have happen.
   If he didn’t threater the country of fl, she wouldn’t have hated the ml.
   They already love each other.
   Being petty killed his brother.
   Everything was the emperor’s fault.

   At first I was siding with FL and I understood her bitterness towards the whole situation (plus, she was ill).

   But she chose to be bitter for TWO YEARS and even after ML did everything to her (including bringing her brother to her as soon as possible) she still didn’t say shit like “Look I know we started rough but let’s try to find some communication, thanks for everything you’ve done to me” Nope, she still chose to take everything for granted. She never once acted like a wife and duchess and never tried to.

   And look, I understand that it’s all primarily ML’s brother (and also FL’s brother) fault for breaking up the couple but I just can’t understand how those two couldn’t work out their issues for TWO YEARS. ML’s stupidity can be forgiven – he was never loved by his family, he’s also very ill and just awkward. She, on the other hand, grew up in a good loving family and knows how important social connections are. And she called him a fucking monster and never apologized for that.

   I know many will not agree with me but that’s just how I feel about characters. All in all, it’s a really good manhwa and everyone should read it and make their own opinions.

   Story seems good so far. (Ch 10) Enoch did some questionable things but I still love him. Fl seems a little brutal but it’s understandable considering what happened to her. Hope for more updates soon it’s so good ❤️
