   Very strange one, not for everyone, especially not for people who want a predictable plot, because this one is quite the roller coaster.

   Ok, so Agrain transmigrated into a novel in the non-character role of a nondescript housemaid. She gets used to her life, with no plans to influence the plot except to bail before the noble family she’s serving gets wiped out. As she lives through 3 years of normal life as a maid, she realizes that several others must have transmigrated into the same book at the same time: suddenly there are all of these flashy, outstanding people altering the expected course of the plot. Then, strangely, they all keep dying horrible deaths.

   Enter our ML. He is the book’s original antagonist, who had an unnamed grudge against the crown prince. Now, it seems he is systematically collecting the transmigrators. Usually to murder them. But he specifically spares our FL after massacring the remainder to the estate she worked at. We have no idea why, or how he knew she was special. We have no idea if he’s a transmigrator himself. We have no idea what his plans are.

   We do know that he seems completely insane. Random murders, controlling behaviors, suddenly deciding our FL is “Susan” now. The newly-dubbed Susan appears to be getting training to be an assassin, and she must walk a careful line between doing what she must to live, and maintaining her sense of humanity, while it is becoming more and more difficult to see where her line is.

   I was hoping for an actual thriller story where the FL is trying to escape from the clutches of the psycho, but then it clearly hints the psycho is the ML. Give me a break.

    This plot is so interesting, I haven’t really seen this tense psychological version of someone transmitted into a new world. But ofc people would be suspicious when someone who is a maid suddenly knows of secret plans they have no way of knowing
