The FL is an amazing person. I would say that she is a bit on a spectrum, but it might not be because of autism etc. – more like from the abuse, and that clearly affected her development.

She has been abused, isolated and haven’t even learned how to make friends – because of her time in isolation. Her power only gives her some idea how people act, but doesn’t give her the real social skill set that most people get from socializing. She has to use intelligence and her powers to see the future to figure out how to act, what is wrong and what is right. And often does even social decision using just intellectual ways. That might make her a bit slow to understand, because she doesn’t know social language, non-verbal or verbal hints, like most people and there will be an ahole character that will use that weakness of hers and manipulates her.
But when they get caught with the lie, she will react the right way and doesn’t just forgive like it was nothing. Showing that she ain’t an idiot, who will be fooled twice or some softie weak FL, she just lacks practice and knowledge of social skills.

If you hate reading about a realistic character who uses the skillset they have learned to use, and try their best what they got in life – this isn’t for you.
There are silliness of course, but FL is a very real character that is slowly trying to adjust living in the outside world and not isolated. She stays consistent, and her social learning will take time.

It also doesn’t help that ML tries to use a lot of non-verbal, hint based, social language – not only they’re from the different kingdoms, they truly speak different language to each other and like with any language learning – it takes time to learn a new one. They are both learning to communicate, but at least they’re trying more than most romance leads. You need some patience when reading this series.
