As I understand it, it has to be done because they, the wizards, want Izar to be the sacrifice partially due to his status as next in line to become the duke and her ‘taking over’ the position (although probably for the time being) will hopefully protect Izar as well as him getting protection from the emperor. She never wanted the title, it changed right after they learned the duke plans to sacrifice his heir.
I don’t get it so is she now aiming to become the duke instead of her brother? Is the new job stopping him from inheriting? Or is there something wonky with the translation?
I’m wondering all of that too… Feels like we jumped over some important details. Maybe there is a novel that explains more, and storyboard for manhwa kinda misses some stuff because they are too much in a hurry?
