I love Camilla for being so practical. Same with the ghost, she doesn’t help or interact with all the ghosts – and not like all the ghost need any help. It’s a reasonable reaction, and she isn’t some MC who has to stick her nose in every situation or try to save everyone. Realistically, that would destroy her – it’s like always jumping to help every single drowning person yourself. And there are a lot of them.
I know where Camila is coming from. Those bullies in this story are the children of powerful aristocrats. People who are lower in status can’t even lift their fingers because then their family will suffer as well. Camila cannot save everyone all the time. When she is near by she can take the lead but what about the time when she is not paying attention?
Those bullies will take things to a whole different level just because of their ego being crushed. No one will unecessarily volunteer to become the target of those bullies.
It’s sad no one helped that guy. FL will only get involved now that her friend is getting bullied. While the poor guy had to drop out of school because of this. Hopefully he’ll get his vengence on his bullies and the school.
