Did you guys even read the story? In the first time line she felt incredibly guilty and thought she was the reason they died. The brother-in-law used that to manipulate her emotions into killing for him. She was in an extremely vulnerable mental state, since she lived through it once and the second timeline she’s not like that because she is not as mentally weak as she was during the first time line. There are YouTube videos out there of people being manipulated into doing things that they wouldn’t normally do, especially when it’s played on the individuals emotions.
As for the marriage, it sounded like her husband was looking for a suitable wife to take care of the house and his child. It sounds like he made a large donation to the orphanage in exchange for her hand in marriage, probably something like a dowry.
And so what if she slept with him, she waited long enough for Lancelot and she said that she hadn’t heard from him until after her marriage. There’s no way I’m going to wait multiple years for a man that doesn’t even contact me, she doesn’t even know if he was alive since he went to war.
But I do agree with her killing people was retarded, but she didn’t really have a choice either. In her mind when her husband died, she just wanted to repay the brother because she didn’t grab Aruther’s hand, so she thought she was the one who killed him. Also, she couldn’t help but marry to the Bright’s. The orphanage/church was broke and couldn’t feed the other kids. So she went there to help them out.
@Vyviren, she never got laid. The little miss isn’t her daughter, and the husband was too old so how could she have gotten laid? Also, the husband she they were more like friends than lovers. Did you even read?
