Tbh , I understand how Nora’s friends feel , because if I were to be treated like that by my friend’s parents,I would also have thought such nonsense and kind of disliked my friends. The lie falls in them just entering Nora’s house without informing beforehand, even nobles can’t just enter each other’s houses abruptly .
I get Hans tbh. Getting to enjoy the privileges of nobility and wealth is something anyone would kill to have, but I don’t like how he’s blaming Nora for the abuse. Also, Nora genuinely likes them… he’s not friends with them as a distraction from noble life… 🙁 I hope they make up soon…

IMO, he’s mad because his background comes from someone of extreme poverty where every day they live with cycles of abuse/neglect/poverty of some form. To him, Nora’s predicament does not outweigh the benefits of everything he stands to gain just by “pretending” to be okay.
He says Nora choses the abuse when he could just live quietly and prosper–unlike them. They wouldn’t choose abuse if they could afford to, so Nora has privileges they don’t. He thinks it’s convenient for Nora to just decide to ignore his background, meanwhile they can’t. Hans thinks Nora is patronizing them and feels some sense of superiority when he choses to hang out with them (that may be wrong, but it’s how I interpreted it.) I’m high a.f. so I hope that makes sense lol
