I was team Joseph until this chapter. His loyalty and puppy likeness is very sweet. Compared to Erez, he is a little bland but still a good choice for ml and i was seriosuly cheering for him. However his jealousy here is not the time or place and is sending me flags.
Everything displayed here is a big NO for me. It comes across somewhat manipulative which makes me uncomfortable. ‘Am I not good enough? Aren’t I your loyal knight? Why can’t you trust me?’ He’s trying to guilt her to rely on him and not his perceived rival, whether that’s intentional or not on his part. Yes he’s acting on jealousy but they are not a couple, she is his Lady, and quite frankly there’s clearly some real SHADY SHIT going on rn that he’s helping investigate. Is this REALLY the best time to get possesive??
There is obviously serious and dangerous stuff happening and he’s really gonna pull the ‘am I not good enough for you’ card when there was a BOMBING and 3 CONFIRMED SPIES?! it makes total sense for leader to meet multiple parties with different skill sets/positions and as his BOSS, he has no right to question why or what business she has with others. Honestly he has no right to do that even if she wasn’t his boss.
Long rant because I’m really disappointed this is the route they’re taking his character. Not a fan. It’s incredibly selfish of him to dump this on her in a stressful and potentially dangerous situation. One he no doubt recognizes on the surface but prioritizes his own desires rather than giving the support Keira needs.
