This is pretty insane. The only evidence they have is that Cossette’s mother used a pseudonym to move around, and that this guy somehow knew the route she followed with that pseudonym. But his accusation has no relation to those facts. In particular, that grandpa ordered him to kill her. Besides, the story itself is nonsense. Some guy is sleeping around with his daughter, and instead of disposing of him he hires him to kill someone else? The only one that stood to lose anything if this guy became public was grandpa, he had no “weakness” to hold over him.
