How can you people defend the Grand Duke, when he chose to forget the bullshit he had caused and put all the burden to fix it on the victim? He should have kept the memory and deal with the devil by himself. It’s his responsibility anyway for letting his first wife get murdered.
I kinda feel sad for cosette mom like how she was treated and saw her every single one tgat she loved bieng destroyed she saw her daughter dieing in front of her eyes and contacted devil so cosette is not that bad she is the devil and taking her and her mothers revenge what she is supposed to do if kiera was her she would fo the same so i dont hate her but fell bad for her and fir the duke he was a jerk I thought he regretted it after kiera died but he didn’t feel anything at all like even if she was not your daughter how can you be so heartless and there was regret when cossete told him but ut was like he only cared that he got betrayed and the empire is destroyed that mf morron manian phsyco jerk mf
Like the comment that I read, I don’t hate the duke, his trying to repair his errors, now that he lost the love of keira, he actually realizes that he loves her but he was raised to put the empire first, above everything else. He is just like that but is trying to make amends
I’m not loving her at all, and I’m feeling sorry for the Grand Duke, because he did greatly wronged his daughter, but tried to correct his mistakes and reversed time for her. He decided to be the one who loses the memory for Keira. This way she would be the one with the memory of her past life and thus gave her the opportunity to defend herself, change the future and not forgive him.
Unlike many, I don’t hate his character. He made a lot of mistakes, his mistakes were enormous, but he was able to make amends up to a certain point and he’s still trying to do so. He himself has many limits on an emotional level and does not know how to relate to his children and other people, he was raised for the sake of his family’s pride only. But he wants to try. I find the Grand Duke a tragically human character, I can’t help it.
