This is a korean manwha not japanese and in Korean they have a weird system to say the age of people. Let me explain, in Korea when you are born you are a 1 Year old instead of a 0 years old. Also, they don’t add one more year the day they are born they add one year in the first day of january regardless of the day you were born. For example: If you are born in 15/09/2000 right now in Korea you will be 27 instead of 25. To sum up, the protagonist is 11 or maybe 12 year old depending of the month he was born instead of 13 year old.
There must be a translation error regarding our main character. He’s 13 years old but still in elementary school? That doesn’t add up. According to Google, Japanese students start junior high at 12, which means Ho-Yeong should be in his first or even second year of junior high. Maybe he has an early birthday or something?

@Fasolasido Even so the school system is still the same. When your 12 in Korea you enter middle school. Meaning he has an early birthday or something.
