He neglected his extremely shy wife, let her take blame when he likely knew she had nothing to do with things, and then let her starve to death. He didn’t have to love her or stay married to her, but holy crap, letting her die that way makes him a bad person. I really don’t think he deserves the “new and improved” version of her.
