What I like about this couple is that they are very much equals. The husband isn’t always saving her or protecting her, and she isn’t useless. Even if she’s physically weak, they help each other on equal footing. They feel like a real married couple. There doesn’t need to be an overly dramatic moment to share vulnerable feelings or a overly romantic scenario. They enjoy the little things together, share what bothers them in the moment or takes happiness in small gestures. They really are the perfect couple.
I always thought it was weird that Evrett refer to Litheras appearance as being unremarkable, all while still being obsessed with her and other people describe her as being beautiful. At least now it’s obvious from what kind of place those words came from. How disgusting.
