She did win it all on her own. She just had help from the bunny leader for catching the other children who used underhanded methods. But the heir was chosen by what she caught as her prey. Those extra help just made her position stronger among the lion tribe

She didnt actually win it playing by the rules. Those rabbit beastmen did a lot. Though she did catch the eagles on her own so i guess she might have won anyway.
