For a while now, I didn’t get FL. She was falling for this guy, but never “thought” about stopping at her goal and to be with him. You would think, after meeting ML, who she thinks is not the emperor, she would tell him “my goal is reached, and I like you, so I’m thinking of dropping out here”. Her friend did it, and she didn’t even have an internal monologue considering it for herself.
It looks like it kinda happened finally this chapter. ML has dropped the ball bc him urging her to keep going and marry the emperor makes it feel like a one sided love.
