Ok so… original villainess said “blood of invaders”. That gives perspective. Her land was invaded by another country and much was taken. She is sold like an item as a peace offering, i.e. against her will.
So can you blame her for being the way she was? It sounds like she kept her distance and never opened up. I mean her husbands family probably was very involved in the conflict. That’s not an unreasonable choice, it doesn’t sound like she killed anyone. The only crime so far was sending resources to her home country to help the poor.
She wasn’t a villaness, but a prisoner. And it all ended in her being framed for a crime she didn’t commit. Tragic.
Or she snapped and did commit it, in which case, the marriage was only supposed to last 5 years anyway, so she didn’t need to resort to that and probably deserved the sentence. Note I said probably.
