It’s more complicated than that. Dad was manipulated and traumatized too. Should he have been there? Absolutely. Should he suffer shame? Yes. But he had no reason to believe his daughter was treated differently than his other children. It’s a bad excuse, but the og Rudbet was kind and wanted a father/daughter relationship.
