I honestly think someone is running this through Google translate or something. There’s no understanding of idiomatic language and it results in some really frustrating translations.
“It’s like giving me taffy when I’m begging you” is more like “OH COME ON its like you’re flipping me the bird!”
…which I would paraphrase/translate to “Why did he say that!? I was making progress with them and then he goes and f*cks me over!”
