Can you please explain to me how the ML is putting the best interest of the FL first? Did we even read the same fucking chapters? How is basically putting her under house arrest and placing HIS people to watch and report her every move to him putting her best interest forward? You guys are trying to paint the ML as some sort of blameless saint when he’s just as much to blame than the FL because he never talks to her. The only reason she knew that the naturalization of the Marquess was to help her gain an ally was because she put the pieces together, not because the ML told her. Actions without words are bound to be misinterpreted. The FL isn’t a mind reader. She may know the future but that doesn’t mean she can read his every thought and action.
