Hi! I’m F, 23. This chapter has captured my heart. This chapter is dear to me because I too suffer the same problem when I was younger I was diagnosed with Congenital Ventricular Septal Defect which I have holes in my heart that didn’t really bothered me till I got to college in my third year I have this almost 2 months of cough, cold sweats and have this problem to consume less food because I tend to vomit it all during this I often experience headache and dizziness that I thought it was just a flu and tend it the usual way and along my midterm of the semester I experience the pain of walking and my skin discoloration and my weight drop to the extent that I can see my collar bones and finally we went to the doctor because I felt the unbearable pain in the both sides of my stomach that I can’t sleep for every night. I went to the doctor and the doctor said, I have weak mitral valve on my left side of my heart cause by endocarditis in which my sickness that I thought was flu had an easy way to enter my heart because of my VSD causing back flow of the blood in my heart and I too had coughing blood in my phlegm. Now, I am in medication and my doctor said I too required an operation which my family have financial struggles for me to have that. Every now and then I have to go ro hospital to get my shots alone and now I get the feeling why some people hate the white walls because you feel so hopeless and alone and I feel that the meds are now bitter and hard to swallow because now my heart depend on that. I’m like a ticking bomb and the meds are slowing it down but the problem is still there. I am now struggling because I think I developed a phobia or I am just scared of the hospital because I have to deal it alone. My 3rd year of college stop in the midterm and never finished the semester. I am introvert and have difficulty of socializing and my heartbeat kept on reminding me that my body is not normal. Somehow this chapter really gets me but the hope of getting better? I don’t know.
