Of course love comes with conditions. In my opinion unconditional is terrifying. The thought of loving someone now matter what they do no matter who they become, I mean do you even really love ‘them’? Is there even a them to love in the first place? It’s a love that’s close to apathy oddly enough, and depending on how terrible that person becomes you also become someone terrible for condoning their behavior.
What I find a lot more romantic is falling in love with someone conditionally and continuing to fall in love with the person they become again and again. That way you don’t lose yourself too.
