I don’t know if it was the right choice for the shoemaker, but that’s what makes it good for the narrative. We’ve already seen that he can’t save everyone and that his main goal is to get stronger. So that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s getting wiser with the loops and without hindsight, he can only try to pick a course of action and hope it was the right one.

dang he didn’t tell the guy about his wife. What happened to her would of scarred him but maybe closure would of been better than false hope
