I’ve been thinking, why does this death-like figure allow him to go back so many times? For it’s own entertainment? Does it desire something from him that it can’t access/achieve on it’s own?
Or maybe it just wants to see how long it takes for him to break. But at a certain point, it must realize that he’ll never give in, and Encrid will just use the ferryman’s boon to achieve all he desires, relentlessly climbing any and every wall he encounters, so I wonder if it’ll ever change it’s tune and switch up how many times he’s allowed to die from each wall.
This guy has already died over a million times I bet it doesn’t get any easier or less painful. This seem like a tough wall hopefully he can overcome it.
