I don’t think Veronica saw any of that fight. Jubelian left her in the restroom and she was still upset, so she didn’t come out when everyone else did. The yard was empty when she reached Mikhail, so she didn’t see his freaking out (or at least most of it), only that he looked upset standing alone.
I’m actually really glad she realized so fast Mikhail is a bad guy. He pusher her once and she saw that Jubelian was telling the truth. The author was very merciful to let her realize that before Mikhail could drag her down.
I knew mikhail would react like this but its kinda understandable (im not saying the things he did wasnt bad) its just- for example someone expressess lots of affection to you then one day just say “lets break up” mikhails reaction would be the same as mine but not to the extreme i’d chase the person down and get mad for not having his/her attention do u get mee?
It’s true to life, if I’m being honest. This chapter reflects the plight of women who are subjected to mistreatment by their partners. They genuinely care about those egotistical men, but they are overlooked, neglected, and even denied appreciation and respect.
That is why I hold Jubel in such high regard. Because she stood up to Mikhail, a man who didn’t value her and selfishly trampled her heart.
But pity for Veronika is beyond me. To me, she remains a useless tramp. Despite the fact that Mikhail’s deplorable behavior had been witnessed by many, she clung to him like a limpet.
I kinda pity Veronika, she was just being used in the end and had lovers Dayside affection on her. She wasn’t like that from the start if looking at her before she meets that useless gold digger, deplorable, selfish, Mikhail. So far I kinda get her and feel empathy for her, she was just a tool before releasing the after treatment she experienced.
