to everyone curious so far and MAJOR SPOILRERS BELOW
There is a total of 2 or 3 timelines in this story, with current story being the 2nd or 3rd timeline (iirc). First timeline is Jubellian’s dream (refer to chapter when she was being chased by a dragon). This one is a big foggy but iirc, in that timeline either Regis slayed the dragon after killing Jubellian or slayed the dragon for chasing after her. Either way, Regis slayed the dragon. Now out for revenge, the dragon grants the emperor powers to control Regis (the ring that the emperor shows off in previous chapters). To ensure the power he gained from the dragon, the emperor asked Regis to kill his wife. During that time, Regis lost control of his body and mind and killed Amelia. Jubellian accidentally saw her mother’s corpse and her memories became repressed (refer to previous chapter when Jubellian mentions she has no memories beyond age 6 or 7).
After the death of Amelia, Regis decided to be distant towards Jubellian as a way to protect her but Jubellian interpreted this as neglect and she was unloved (misunderstanding between them) and bec of this, she grows up with a wicked personality, always in desperate need for affection. Then it shows the beginning of chapter 1 where she kills herself after being accused of poisoning the princess. After her death, Regis did not care anymore as the emperor did not have anything on him to blackmail, so Regis goes on rampage.
Next timeline, Regis turned back time to save Jubellian. This time he is determine. Jubellian on the other hand thinks it is only a “novel” but in fact it wasn’t. She actually does come from this world and she just reincarnated again bec of her father.
