I like the direction the story is going. I love hestia as a protagonist since the beggining because she felt like a real person. Now, since she is almost 100% acomplishing her goal, it almost feels like she is too bloodlusted to see that Diana is already defeated. Her husband doenst love her, Kaelus doenst love her, she lost her powers and has no support from nobles and commoners, and Hestia KNOWS this. But the thing is, since she is so caught up in this life, she doesn’t remember her name, she doenst have a purpose to live outside revenge, i think she is starting to become desesperate to avenge HERSELF. She is trapped in this life and what kept her going was the need to avenge Kaelus but at some point I think her mind became so dull to life that she is know obssessing over Diana’s fall simply as a coping mechanism

Watching her sole reason for existing break so much that he no longer wished to live would be soul-wrecking, not only that, but the people that caused that lived happily until they didn’t and ended up divorcing, so it was all for nothing, Kael died for nothing. Apart from that, I think that, despite the reason, Diana should be stripped of her title; she’s not a good Crown Princess, her inability to empathise with people and make good decisions for the kingdom (for example, letting go of her plans for the luncheon for the diplomats), even if she doesn’t personally like it, shows that. I’ve always had the theory that the reason she lost her powers was bc she stopped helping the commoners, the reason she had them in the first place was to be the relief they needed, but then she became the very thing she says to hate (presumptous nobles) and suddenly she was too good for them. She refuses to learn, apologies or take accountability. Even if not for Kael, she truly needs to step down, Kael doesn’t want to strip her of her title for whatever personal reason, but as a Duke, he should see that she isn’t fit for being the future Empress
What Kael is trying to do is not wrong but it would definitely be devastating from Hess pov. Diana who is alive and married someone else, her treatment towards Kael pussed him to take his own life. How can he expect Hestia to be in a sane state who lost her love infront of her in her 1st timeline, atleast try to understand just how much guilt, regret, selfblame and anger is pilled up inside her. Give her the time she needs. The best possible solution is to let her remove Diana from Crown Princess position. This would really help her to move on.
I agree with what other wrote but particularly what @violetpanda wrote cannot be ignored. She was transmitted in this world with no way to go back to where she came from. Watching over Kael became her purpose due to which she even accepted this life. She saw him breaking apart bit by bit, she saw him losing his hope to the point where he took his own life and she became the sole witness of this whole incident. TBH if I put myself in Hess’s shoes I would do the same. I won’t stop unless the other party is destroyed completely, losing the one you love (your sole reason of living) is not a small deal. I can understand why she is doing this and I think it’s fair. Diana’s existence is harmful for kael in Hess’s point of view and it is not completely wrong. She is a crown princess. She can summon Kael anytime she likes. And in case if Kael respond to her feelings (I don’t think it’s possible any longer) then Kael will be hurt once again. Hess is not afraid of Kael leaving her, she is afraid of Kael harming himself. As long as Diana sits on that position no one is going to be happy because she is stupid and dumb. She can’t accept her fault and she is short-sighted. She won’t change herself for no one. Rather than dragging or leading the whole empire to it’s destruction its better to remove her from the position which is not suitable for her.
Hestia is a little bit too caught up in the revenge but I understand her vision. Letting DIana as the crown princess could lead to trouble later especially since she already confessed her feeling to Kaelus. She can pull string to make Kaelus stay by her side. But Hestia also has this prejudice that Kaelus still hung up over Diana which is unfair IMO. The guy has been totally loyal to her.
Although I understand everyone else opinions, which are very valid. I can’t help to be very upset about what he’s doing. I don’t know how she’s going to react, but I’ll be like “Are you telling me to drop my years of hard work to the trash before even see the conclusion of it?!! Are you out of your mind?!! I need to finish it so I can move on to the next project”. Is so frustrating!!!
Hestia needs a change too, she is becoming an obsessive villainess, her beliefs for vengeance can’t justify her actions…even if Diana is not a good role model, it’s not like she killed someone, she just let herself be control by temple teaching clouding her judgement to think for her self… hestia is over obsessing over Kael and to bring Diana down like her whole life depends on Diana downfall which is pitiful way of living….
Very much has become an obsession. Guilt for leaving Kaelus and failing to save him, fear that Kaelus will go back to her, and a love so deep for Kaelus, she can’t imagine him just wanting her and focusing only on the past that left a scar and led to her death. Kael is realizing its becoming an obsession, and he wants it to stop for her own health. I also think probably partially for Helios who did genuinely regret his role in how he treated Kael once he understood the severity his actions caused and not wanting to cause his own friend significant harm, but mostly for the FL.
In all honesty, the way the story is playing out makes sense. Hess has always been obsessed taking Diana down. It was her main purpose of returning after ensuring Kael lived. But now that Kael doesn’t care about Diana and happy enough living as things are, Hess cannot accept it.

She’s devoted herself to getting revenge for the man she failed in her previous life, but is so caught up in it that she can’t see that it’s no longer about Kael. At this moment, she’s questioning her purpose should Kael forgive Diana before Diana gets pushed off the edge like he was. Luckily our ML is smart and will most likely explain that he isn’t forgiving Diana, but severing ties with her so they can just focus on each other instead. That he can show Hess that their purpose should be each other and Diana shouldn’t be anymore than an afterthought in their lives. It’s time for Hess to focus on healing herself now that Kael has been healed.

She left the ML back then, and when she came back, he was already dead. That regret and grief left a huge scar on her mental health, to the point it even affected her physically and led to her own death indirectly.
Honestly, I think she just needs more time, love, and understanding to fully heal. It’s not as simple as “just let go.” Healing isn’t linear, especially when it involves guilt and past trauma. She’s not trying to stay stuck in the past on purpose ,she’s still figuring things out.
I think she’s starting to feel like what Diana did to Kaelus is what she did to her and she wants the revenge not Kaelus, like she’s lost her original purpose.

Also: well done by the artist!! The bloody panels? The sudden shift of her laughing in bright light with a very close up image to him sitting alone and thoughtful, the view from far away. It shows how disconnected those two are right now on where their goals are. And current emotions.
I hope he gets her out of these thoughts. It’s not just revenge, you want Markus to be healed! To be good! To not be suicidal!
