Her reaction makes sense and I think Kael is the right to stop her. She was always obssessed because getting revenge was the only thing that defined her life in that novel, she literally lived for this revenge. Now that kael found happiness alongside her, it makes sense for him to not want Diana stripped out of her title, its like beating an already defeated dog on the ground. But he doesn’t know hess true story or who she is, I hope she tells him the truth soon
Role reversal! Now Hess is the unstable spiraling one, and Kael is trying to hold her together. Poor Hess. She’s tried to define her self worth in revenge for someone who never wanted revenge. At least not in the way Hess defines it. His best revenge is living happily.
Hess never stopped to ask what Kael actually wants out of all this, too focused on justifying her own worth through this singular path.
Now she’s afraid of any worth she feels crumbling, and of Kael just going back into orbit around Diana.
Kael must be terrified. He’s let go of the past, not really dealing with Helio or Diana, just wanting Hess, but Hess is strapped in the past and trauma along with this view of herself where she’s still an outsider to all this and has no place and made her entire self worth around taking down Diana. Now, Kael is watching is wife have a mental breakdown only knowing half of the story (not that she saw him die or that she’s a transmigrator), He sees her obsession with Diana and just wants it all to stop and focus on them as he’s seeing its taking over. He really doesn’t know what to do.
Both are terrified. In light novel Cael was concerned even earlier Hess behaved like him when he was in unrequited love in Diana and mistakenly thought it is enough for him. Here he absolutely freaked out he will lost Hess.
I kinda of understand their positions: Kael has accepted the past and has moved on, but Hess is still carrying the trauma and the heavy chains from her past. More over, she has always considered herself a tool, ready to be discarded the moment she reached her objective, so now she is kinda of stuck in her own mind and in this twisted vision of herself 😔 Hope they can both heal together 💛🌻
I understand both of their pov, for Kaelus maybe it’s enough when both Heli and Diana apologized even if it’s halfhearted and he wants to focus on his married life with Hestia but for Hestia, who went through it directly and know how bad both Heli and Diana and how Kaelus died in front of her eyes, won’t accept such apology. She wants to see it to the end. Even if it consumes her. So this scene it’s very important, bcs it’s the chance for them to finally have the deep talk, to be able to understand each other better
Naw Cael is alive in good condition, Hess is phisically healhty, they happily married. Also people from their estate are thriving and Hess with Cael saved the empire from invasion by a neighboring state twice.
So Hess is literally the savior of this world on several levels. No wonder she is a bit crazy -official “saint” of this world is the evil one.
The ml isn’t in fault. We’re seeing through Hestia’s perspective so it feels like Kale is rejecting all her efforts. Since recent chapters, I realized she is crazy(not in a bad way but in mental health and the trauma she had because of her past life) and she is so focused on revenge that she isn’t trying to understand Kale’s perspective, he just wants to live happy life with her. She didn’t even try to listen when he wanted to communicate with her because she is too focused on bringing Diana down. At this point it’s kind of frustrating, Kale even told Hestia that he won’t stop her stripping the title just expressed his opinion and concern because she’s pushing herself too much to the point she may have breakdown any moment. But Hestia mistook it for rejection of her hard work which made her insecure and started denying the reality that she lives in now and still believe that she is in novel and everything revolves around Diana. She needs rest both physically and mentally. I hope Hess will try her best to listen to Kale and communicate. It’s nobody’s fault neither Hestia nor Kale
The ml to me isn’t communicating well enough and same for the fl. They both give very little info and don’t really explain their thought processes well. Yes you may mean it a certain way but others might not. When that happens explaining your thoughts will help. Rewording it or explain how you to that point. They just say the main point but add nothing to explain it.
This is the point when Hess should quit yandere mode but it’s so hard for her. Cael have to take a lead because his wife is still more occupied by other marriage than her own. In this very moment she put them on the pedestal of first leads, not Cael.
She healed his husband but not herself. She is in position of Cael from the previous life. No wonder she thought about suicide. It’s just like she sucked all the poison from Cael but she don’t know how to get rid of it.
she never treated her trauma she just assumed that ruining diana would fix everything but in the process things changed and kaelus is no longer affected by diana so he sees no point in pushing her lower than she already is but also she is the one who found him dead in her kitchen…
She’s crazy. She’s been crazy but I guess she funneled it into something productive. But now, the work is done but she doesn’t understand how to put this insanity and rage to rest

Leaving her without purpose again.

Poor Hess. All her effort were nothing and back to square one.
Deerfia
Square one was suicide of Cael and her death of uncured illness.

I found it kinda cringe she tried to jump but I also understand. She’s going through some sort of panic attack.

Maybe this is the price of her regression. She will not able to put to rest her rage and will burnout herself.

Kael was wrong. He should’ve talked to her first before deciding anything. Hestia felt all her efforts were in vain.
