It’s kinda a shame that the CP is the way he is bc i can see why Cael and him were so close. I kinda understand the attachment to Diana but she’s so rigid in her morals and horrible at reading the room so she’d mess up the dynamics between the men, even if she chose Cael because Helios is good at masking his moral flexibility and Cael was overtly doing what he thought needed to be done
.
It took a second reread to understand that unlike Hestia, Diana had the kind of main character buff that didn’t require her to be pragmatic, introduce nuanced analysis, or even allow for the idea that her as a saint could be wrong. In the og novel Cael’s actions are objectively wrong bc ppl died but she wouldn’t have an alternative solution. In her eyes he’s in the wrong and her distancing himself is fine but he’s completely isolated bc of that along w that judgment on his character
.
The CP probably would’ve done something similar but he’d look horrible in his wife’s eyes. But he has a job that comes with his title so i think that’s why he actually did go and approach Cael first, instead of together w Diana..
.
Like and Diana is a commoner who got education later on so I think their separation in the first timeline is because she maintained that rigid morality but had nothing backing her after losing her abilities AND the ppl’s support by being a hypocrite about she helped ppl
Tsk. Is the cp worries if Diana have feelings for Cael? If yes, she is two timer. Haha. Or both of them are worried if Cael will collapse or have breakdown? 😓😅 I still do not like Diana. There is something off her.
