🚨 SPOILER ALERT (from the novel) 🚨
⚠️ Opinions, NOT facts ⚠️
Diana is manipulative, and she has no character development. Well, unless you count how much worse of a character she is. Diana is selfish. That is it. There is a lack of substance that could make a villain complex and/or intriguing. She is overall a flat character with a predictable demise. If anything, the prince has more character development than Diana.
I could see how annoying Hestia could be for being persistent in bringing Diana down. However, there are two things in mind. One, I feel like people do not give her enough credit for how keen her eyes are or how good her intuitions are. Yes, she may have some knowledge about the novel overall. However, if some of us were in her position, we would not make it as far as she did.
Two, I notice that she may use it as a way to cope with transmigration. She subconsciously starts to view the novel as reality. And if she starts viewing it as reality, it may lessen her chances to actually go home. That is a scary thought, especially with the life she built and the friends and family she may never see again. A lot of heroines simply move on from their past lives, like they did not form any former attachments or had a life before the novel. She is one of the few anomalies that actually wants to return to her original world.
In my eyes, not all her actions are justified. Hestia may be thinking that everything she is doing is for her lovely Kael. However, as he learns to forgive, she has a hard time letting go. It is the only calamity for her: to take down the villains in a world she is unfamiliar with. At times, she feels lonely, as no one has gone through what she has gone through. Two people with vastly different mindsets and a lack of communication would definitely create a tumultuous relationship.
