Ugh, the art is gorgeous, but the story makes me so uncomfortable. He’s forcing himself on her, even though she has clearly told him that she doesnt love him. Regardless of how she used to feel about him, this is just gross. But, this is on par for greek gods, they only care about what they want.

If you think about it, Eros should be the one to blame. If only he hadn’t shot Daphne with the opposite arrow, maybe she would have truly loved Apollo the way he loved her. Such a tragic unrequited love — if you’re familiar with the story of Apollo and Daphne, you’ll know what I mean. Sorry if others find it confusing since it isn’t shown in this story, but you’ll understand if you know Greek mythology.
