As far as I remember from the novel, The king wasn’t actually poisoned, he had a heart attack. Everyone believed he was poisoned though. Dionna told the queen that it was likely Aristine since there was poison in her stuff. The queen took advantage of this and tried to get Aristine arrested so she could pull Tarkan into this too. I’m not gonna spoil further but it’s going to be one hell of a show. Aristine’s going to put that queen bitch and dionna in her place. If it goes like in the novel.
