Alright, so having gone to read the book and up to here, it’s quite interesting to me how many things they’ve changed between the two, especially everything with his relationship with Alea (like pretty much knowing she was a girl from the first few days that he met her) and how this arc went down. I have to say, I really prefer the story, especially from the romance aspect. Really seems like the manga has gone for a more action based, breeze through the romance, sort of deal. Still, I like the way that they did the whole ‘and now they experience each other’s memories to learn the truth about each other!’ thing that they did in this, even though it caused the archmage at the end to make whatever nonsense excuse about trust being important before stealing Alea away which was absolutely shoehorned in and made no sense, as well as that silly little bit with them making the loveydovey poses together to get through the dungeon. Certainly made for a much more entertaining dungeon though, at the cost of a bit of story, I’ll give them that.
I definitely recommend reading the story of this, if you can, at least to enjoy these discrepancies like I have.
