For some reasons, that magic stone he received that we guessed it was one granted her a 2nd chance at life, the price could have been another life. Meaning im thinking that the last panel when she died, he wore a determined face ripping the divorce paper to shred, I think he was thinking of using that magic stone he received as a war reward. Perhaps he was told roughly what the stone was supposed to use for (as he have read in the scripts in this chapter – repentance (2nd chance), a pitiful being filled with regrets and remorse (the FL) ). Or he was just making an attempt at the magic stone, wishing for her to live again even at the cost of his life and that would just have activated the magic stone somehow.
