But ya – I also agree that the king is at fault for not keeping track of his deadas Queen’s misguided feelings & choices regarding taking down the ML. And I also think that it was suuuuper sh**ty of him for taking away her own BFF basically and forcing her to make a child in front of this woman’s nose. What a blow to her pride as a wife and woman. Yah but even tho back then queens knew that concubines were necessary (I would never be able to ‘share’ my husband tho) for the sake of the kind of political life or whatever that they lived by back then, it would still make me feel sick that my husband the King would be such a b*s-turd monkey by cheating on me with my BFF who wasn’t chosen to be a concubine originally. And let’s be real- it doesn’t seem that it was Livana’s (or however her name is spelled) choice. It’s not like she could say no to a King forcing her to be with him.

Anywaaay, back to your good point- while as a girl myself I 100% agree that women in general should stick together and take charge of what they want in life, the matter of continuing a family back then was still an issue. Ofc it would be best if the family that was being continued for ruling over people had good intentions FOR the actual ppl of the kingdom. and that’s why the Queen imo is a good villain. Bc she’s blind to the needs of the ppl and only wants to be seen “on top.” Which is super conceited & reminds me of girls that have been and still are using me and other girls as stepping stones to whatever they want. Bc they don’t mind doing whatever is necessary even if its at the cost of ruining other ppls or when they see someone become more successful or popular to them by their own merit, they go to great lengths to take them down. Meanwhile they don’t know that sometimes the other person is working hard themselves just to help the “villainous” girls achieve what they want too.

Welllll technically back in the day the survival rate of any human being was very low- let alone a royal family that’s always obsessed (or has other ppl obsessed with using them as individuals) with being in charge. Because back then, and even today, power = fame. Fame = money. Money = stuff & stuff being done for you. Stuff = more money. More money = the truth imo that in the end every person is a sucker for being in a more powerful position so they can get what they want. Hence the queen’s mildly shown contempt but still doing her own thing regarding the ML. She thinks he wants the throne. And as we see, this mofo wants nothing but a ez but sustainable life. Which is why he did what he did- coming up with cola (ofc at first it was just his own selfish desire bc he wanted it to drink) and then he made use of his far-away from drama territory self sufficient so that he didn’t have to worry about food, money or his territory causing a ruckus so that he could just check some paperwork to make sure no one was being a nuisance and then go back to being lazy.

My main reason for continuing to read this is because despite it looking like a plain slice of life, the-protagonist-is-perfect kind of manhwa, the way it’s written isn’t laborious. It gives a chill vibe while still following the ML as he tackles head on the antagonist & mole hills in his way to his life goal. Tbh, it’s actually an easy to walk away from for a break and then come back to without feeling like you have to recap by several chapters to catch up on. But the most important factor for me is – that the story DOES make me want to come back to continue it.

They are trying to make the queen the villain, but really, the king is the bad guy. He should have kept his penis in check. The queen should team up with the concubines, and take over, viva la revolution!
