also yes in the novel she hit the mirror twice iirc (i reread this scene like a gospel) and gah i love the manhwa i really do but this was the scene i waited for the most when i read the novel and to see it was shortened like this 😭
They should’ve at least shown a little blood or something, I wonder how this will even progress in the manhwa since ruby isn’t as hurt as in the novel. She is supposed to lying almost unconscious on the ground with everyone looking at her covered in blood and bruises. I’ve seen many manhwa on here with a lot of violence and they have triggers but don’t leave out the details. I’m kinda disappointed actually, since I sobbed when I read the novel but felt nothing here.

It was much more intense in the novel, like Valentino really smashing Ruby in the mirror, the skin on her back peel off, and he was pushing her face in the mirror.
It’s chapter 105 in the light novel. Just looked it up myself out of curiosity, haha. It’s honestly not as brutal as people are making it seem, though definitely moreso than this.
Although I get you guys’ complaints they probably had no choice but to keep it a little watered down. Writing the scene in a novel is one thing but illustrating it in a serialized comic published on platforms like naver and webtoon probably come with restrictions on what they can show.
