I rly want to tell how perfect Izek actually is for Rubby but I don’t want to spoil anyone (;;_;;) please don’t hate him guys, He’s one of the best male lead!! He tries to understand her, he never mad at her or blame her even though all of the people around her are accusing her. Later He will learn on how to speak softer (trying to appear less menacingly) so Rubby won’t be scared of him.

I honestly don’t understand y there’s so much hate surrounding the ML. Like I know that he should start treating his wife better and that she deserves to be treated better. But ya’ll r forgetting that the ML doesn’t have a perfect life eaither. When he was younger him and his sister both saw their mom dead after she killed herself. He has an awful dad that treats him like shit and forgets his birthday’s and doesn’t go to his wedding. He also doesn’t know what the FL was treated like, everytime she starts panicking he actually tries to help but since he doesn’t know what wrong he gets angry. Im sure when he finds out what happened he’ll massacre her family for doing it. I feel like if the FL opens up there relationship would actually get so much better. He’s also not that good at expressing his emotions, I honestly feel like some people r being too hard on him
My girl deserves a better life partner. I’m not saying this because she didn’t understand sex, it’s because of his attitude. The same goes for his sister too. Rubi is treated as an objective, instead a member of the family or rather a person. Both siblings turn blind eyes to how head maid, Freya and Enzo treat Rubi
One of the things I love about this story is all the secondary characters and their families. So many siblings and all of them have different relationships. Galar the Bear and his little brother Andy are so cute together.
LIGHT NOVEL DETAILS MISSING FROM THIS SCENE: In the LN, this is another scene with several signs that he’s learning how to deal with her better. First, coming to sit down with her and eating, and while she still reads so much of what he says and does as a threat, you can see that HE is trying to figure out how to fix that. It’s such a sweet scene I’ll quote it:

Silence fell for a moment as my eyelashes fluttered, my palms resting on both my cheeks.
Izek literally gave me a soulless look.

It’s so understated and realistic. There’s not one huge realization from Izek in One Pivotal Scene that something’s wrong with Ruby; he sees signs gradually over time. The second time she goes to cover her head, he catches her hand and calmly repeats the question.
Yes, I am a walking salesman for this LN. If you’re not used to Korean fiction the style might take some getting used to but the characterization and growth of them as a couple is realistic, nuanced, and just beautiful.
General spoilers for their first night:
No, they do not have sex. Izek sees one of the whip scars on her back and she’s so terrified, all he does is lie down and let her sleep beside him.
