The person blaming the survivor for surviving is blame shifting- At the core of it all, they blame themselves, and they do so to a degree which their brain literally refuses to acknowledge. Instead, they shift the blame, They turn all that self hatred into hatred of the survivor so that they don’t Personally have to feel like shit for the rest of their lives over what happened. And they’ll twist things in their mind to suit that narrative. And it’s certainly not okay… But, It’s a reaction to trauma. They would rather live in a delusion that frees them at the expense of others than acknowledge the reality.
Will never get the logic in blaming the survivor for surviving. Especially a child. What are they supposed to do? Not be sick? Stop the mom from coming? She looked asleep. If the gma wants to play with that logic. Letting your daughter get married to the man that would lead to the child birth is really their gma fault. Like please let me met this woman I would love to manipulate the conversation to make her the reason her daughter died and get her to feel the point of wanting death.
