Remember that one thing that all the employees in the palace actually talk about but our FL doesn’t know about it? They said something about the past time~ I assume it has something to do with the FL’s mother, after it can be the reason as to why the FL has the same eye colour as the king~ moreover she is from a foreign land, giving her the blonde hair from her deceased mother (a foreign holy power user)- maybe~ the king had a relationship with the FL’s mother, explaining how the king can actually have no pain when he touches the FL as she is a mix between magic and holy power, but then somethings happened and the FL’s mother runs away, later then the woman realised that she is pregnant with the king’s child, However due to a certain event she was unable to bring herself to walk herself back to the palace of her lover. And so she stayed at a very secluded and isolated place so as to not get caught in the radar of the king’s soldiers, swearing that she would protect the child with her life. Months would go by and the woman gives birth to our FL, later onwards due to the woman’s weak body, the woman dies and leaves the FL to fend for herself in the world alone. The FL then gets taken into the cathedral orphanage ending up in her getting hired as a poison taster maid. And as you all know, that was how the story started while she was getting taken away to the palace.
