it’s actually pretty common in asia to name their pets as color😅 like blacky, white/snowy, brownie, etc.. I even just found out in western it was racist to name your pet blacky on early social media(fcebook) era back then since we don’t get exposed that much of western history at school
someone with more knowledge can help to correct me, but.. iirc “blacky” is like the korean equivalent to the American “spot” or “fido–a super generic name for a pet.
also slavery was definitely a thing in korea, but iirc most of the slaves in korea weren’t of african descent
i don’t disagree that korean culture has a lot of racism, but it shouldn’t be convoluted with american culture/racism
