Kind of annoyed that the author set the stage for a good story and then said, meh, nevermind, I’m done and copped out. 🫠
But it was still worth reading.
Actually, thinking about it, it took me until about chapter 10 till I decided I would be invested/really continue. I guess I’d say, for me, it’s not a necessary read, but it’s good enough to spend a few hours on when you don’t have another story lined up.
