Why does he avoid these situations. It was the same with the poison he held on to the evidence for a while and never consult the emperor about her movements. This is why I get frustrated about this story, it feels like they purposefully do not want to believe a cat can understand or possibly become human. He obviously has the feeling it could be true yet he doesn’t ask. She doesn’t even need the cards just yes no questions and having her nod would be simple.
