Can we take a moment to appreciate how the author managed to side step a completely unnecessary misunderstanding trope? Like, they could’ve easily done 5e “fl flinched at the ml due to trauma, and instead of listening and talking it out, he got offended and stormed out” trope but no! He actually acknowledged her pain and is immediately willing to work around it!

And I feel sorry for the knight but, you can’t gain trust with an oath, it would be too easy to give an oath to everyone and then just stab them, so don’t think so bad of it, someone fighting for the throne can’t truly have the luxury to trust just anyone
