Ngl, i get why ml opted to end the entire family. They were probably worse to him in the first timeline and slick used the fl as a pawn on multiple occasions. In his demented mind, killing the Duke and his son was a mercy. I suspect that there’s definitely no timeline where the Duke was a good person and I also suspect that he felt inferior to his lawful wife. This was Mirva’s plan but I bet the Duke would’ve suggested it himself if she didn’t. Idk why Mirva never plotted for an escape plan for her and her son bc she knows that man is conniving af and as greedy as she was, she also was solid in survival skills

I can also understand why Mirva was probably brought in the first timeline. If she essentially broke the fl in the first timeline, she probably was intended to keep her in check. I suspect she was killed in the way she was because Mirva suggested Diana leave him. She probably would’ve been executed regardless of the situation bc that pink haired lady didn’t like ol girl happy AND the ML wanted her bound to him and Mirva interfered in that

I don’t think Mirva had much choice. If the duke truly loved her, he would have married her before she had their son. He didn’t. He was casting around for someone rich enough and his baby momma didn’t fit the bill. When faced with the choice of suggesting her former boss, whom she knew very well and could handle, or risking her man picking someone who would question her presence and with whom he could possibly fall in love, she chose the lesser of two evils and suggested her friend to her lover. Even now, when there are no impediments to him marrying her and no one would have said much at all, he still hasn’t and it’s been decades. She was stupid for picking a man for his wealth and status only, but he turned out to be super skeevy and definitely out did her.
