Yeah he’s being an idiot rn but come on guys, his mother was schemed to death, he was neglected and shunned, which as a prince would be horrible, his father is too sick to help himself let alone anybody else, and the (presumably) first time he’s ‘loved’ (which nobody’s taught him how to, so ofc he doesn’t know the healthiest way to be romantic), hes dependant on his powers to find peoples intentions, so yeah, he’s a bit of an asshole but there’s severe character development coming we just need faith
