So on ch. 37. Started strong. Lando is my type of long haired gorgeous male lead, but as with most Chinese stories, it falls into some bad tropes. Lack of critical thinking among the FL who started off pretty smart. She’s smart against the transmigrator because its her second life, but when it comes to everyone else, she takes them at face value or predetermined opinion (the second is a little more understandable when someone is involved in your death) but its hypocritical at times. “I hate this person because they betrayed me in the past life so I will never trust them no matter if their actions say otherwise”, and then another character “oh, this person was so ambitious in my last life, but he’s acting docile, maybe he’s changed and I overestimated him (with one or two interactions that might indicate otherwise”. She’s either super stubborn and won’t believe in someone because of the plot no matter the evidence in front of her or she only trust the moment at that moment without thinking there may be an alternative moment, choosing to believe the worst even if it might be political or for survival. It’s pretty annoying. Debating if I should keep reading, but I do like Lando.
