   The only good thing about the FL is that she looks like she doesn’t care about them, lol. Funny.

   Overall, she is just in denial! She stupidly risked her life for that monster. Seriously stupid for a spy. Typical kind who doesn’t know how to get revenge.

   Logic doesn’t exist here, seriously. I’m more annoyed by the FL acting as the denial queen all the time.

   I will continue this because I like the plot.

   I don’t expect much from the FL. She didn’t actually do anything. Her POV is just useless working spy, lol. She’s just there to be involved in the never-ending drama of the family together.

   This is agonizing to read. She’s just all powerful and every chapter, she’s explaining vaguely how she’s able to do anything and everything with dirt and her blood. It’s really dumb. The backstory was kind of interesting until the FL keeps on and on about it. Most of the chapters are “flashbacks”, just start from there then! I want to READ THE PRESENT SCENARIO. Also why was she even hired?! She’s supposed to be a double for the fake by the former duke’s command, but all she plays as is the “maid” which was never her true role when hired. Also, everything is soooo convenient. Their just happens to be more spies like her at the drop of the hat. We’re never introduced to them nor do they have any significance except “plot device” Every character except her is poorly written. Not that she’s well written, it’s just angst on top of angst flashbacks of the SAME THING I GET IT MOVE ON TO A STORY. But the characters are very one dimensional and it’s a hard pass. I try to wait til 20 before getting a feel, it’s basically just the first 2 chapters on repeat.

   I think this story is the definition of psychotic.
   And I don’t mean some over the top funny way.
   But… I like the writing. The mystery part does the heavy lifting to keep this psychosis of a story going – and for now it works.
   Fair warning to people:
   Don’t expect anything from the Romance tag. There isn’t any and if there going to be some, it’s most likely very bittersweet – unless they rewrite the whole story from the start.
