I met the him in an orphanage and approached him in order to not die since he’ll become the villain in the future.

I unintentionally rehabilitated the villain too well! All that remains now is our own futures that has nothing to do with the novel. I thought I was moving toward a happy ending with a well-tamed villain.
Was it all my misunderstanding?

Gonna be honest, after 40 chapters. Review:
A frustrating read so far. The story would be a LOT better if the female lead wasn’t so …gullible? dumb? I get it- she is suppose to be good and wants to give everyone a chance etc. she wants to help.
But she is a) suppose to be an 40+ y/o adult from the modern world and b) has been almost killed more than once. Her insistence on giving everyone a chance even when they clearly have bad intentions has put her and the male leads lives in danger MULTIPLE times.
She comments on how sus a person is, then completely ignores her own assessment and gives the sus person access to her life.
It is sort of like watching an adult pet a wolf, get bit and cry, then immediately start trying to pet the wolf again. Like, she has no emotional object permanence.
It sucks because the male lead is actually pretty interesting, but his personality and natural tendency toward wariness are overshadowed by him trying to please the female lead. Hopefully after they become adults he will start moving on his own, but for now.. 6/10.

I love how everyone has a side of the story and how they’re mostly just traumatized people with bad coping habits. I’m OBSESSED with how the ml manipulates the fl into hating the priest, it brings back memories. Lol
