I think the author is the sick girl in the hospital. She’d have good reason to want the story to restart over and over and to live the life of the FL (not OUR FL, but the initial one) and be pampered and loved. I think she is desperate to ignore her fate of dying by just living through the story over and over again. Not sure why she keeps casting transmigrators as the villainess, but maybe a part of her does want the story to change but is too scared to let it because she doesn’t know if she will die or not if it does.
I hate this Cliff guy. I hope he gets a horrible ending. i know what you’ll say; oh, he’s under the control of the author and shit, but I still hate him.
I think maybe cliff is totally under the control of the author? He always appears with that black mist that signifies the author’s control so maybe cliff is the proxy that trying to guide the story back to the original? Or be used to sabotage the FL’s attempts to break free
also, I hate cliff but if cliff begins to have feelings for edith (not that i want him to be endgame) i would love to see the look on the blonde wretch’s face when she realizes her slut ways aren’t it
